Teapot Tuesday

This teapot shows all the presidents of the United States of America.  It stops during Lyndon B. Johnson's term.  Several years ago we vacationed at the Apostle Islands in Wisconsin.  While there, we stopped at an antique shop in town.  This teapot was sitting in the window.  I asked about a price, and it was way too much for my budget.  After chatting with the owner of the shop, he decided to lower the price for me.  He didn't like to sell to people who were out to purchase something, just to turn around and try to make a profit out of it.  He realized that I collect teapots because I love them and I don't sell them.
Not only did he lower his price, drastically, he also gave me the coffee mug for free.  What a nice man.  I love these.  That was a fun trip.  I highly recommend visiting Wisconsin.  We love to vacation in that state.  We've been to many locations in Wisconsin.

Don't forget that today is the last day for my giveaway.  You can enter here.

Have a great day.  I'm off to sew with my Quilts of Valor group.  Thanks soldiers for the wonderful freedom that you preserve for us.  Hope you had a great July 4th.

  3. Very nice teapot. I do not collect them but have a few special ones. My favorite is a very old Blue Willow by Booth's of London. Maybe you could post some more photos of yours sometime? It's an interesting subject.
