I am slow stitching today. I'm not hand quilting, but, I am hand stitching the binding down on this quilt.
This is the front of the quilt.
This quilt will be going to Illinois tornado victims, thru Quilts of Compassion.
I'm linking up at Kathy's Quilts. Check out her post today, and, go read the great story about finding the 'owner' of a thrift shop quilt. Great story!

Love the striped binding... it's the perfect touch! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteNice binding fabric.
ReplyDeleteSomeone is going to feel happy and loved.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous binding. Love the stripes.
ReplyDeleteI loved Diane's story about finding the owner of the baby quilt, such a tear maker ending, I wish their more like that.
ReplyDeleteI love the striped binding...and so nice to have a quilty finish!
ReplyDeleteThe binding fabric reminds me of Liquorish Allsorts!
ReplyDeleteWell done on a finish. Such a good feeling!
ReplyDeleteIn your post of May 12, 2015 you posted a quilt by Susan Berger called Crazy Colors. Did she use a pattern or was it her own unique design? It is so striking, I would like to try it.
ReplyDeleteI was born in Alexis, Illinois but retired to Galveston Island, Texas...so it would appear that we exchanged states!
Thank you for all of your work of your inspiring blog!
Pat
My error, that was May 12, 2013... :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing that wonderful story! Yep, just goes to show we need to mark our quilts/lovingly sewn items. Quilters have big hearts; and those aren't just appliqued on!
