I finally got to present my neighbor with his Quilt of Valor. This is the quilt that I made for him.

Here is Steve with his new Quilt of Valor. He was really surprised.

Steve, wrapped in his new quilt |
Sorry if I haven't commented on anyone else's blog posts lately. Hubby has been trying to get my new computer set up, and I've been using 2 computers, so that I could load pictures. Everything is finally working like it should, and we finally moved the new computer in place (it had been in the middle of the family room for at least a month). I'm more than 200 blog posts behind on my blog reading. I'll try to get caught up quickly, but, with last minute projects still due, and my youngest son and his fiance coming in less than 3 weeks, there just isn't enough time in the day to get everything done. I know that most of you may be just as behind as I am.
What a lovely gift to present in person.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! So happy that you got to present the quilt. It must be that time of year - I feel way behind, too! So, I've decided to just enjoy each day and get done what gets done! (Sure hope my philosophy works! LOL) ~Jeanne
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilt!
ReplyDeleteAnother generous and thoughtful quilt of valor. Congratulations to you both. Oh Boy...a new computer. Glad to hear from you. I have been remiss in posting and commenting, too. I'll plead time of the year, going back to work and enjoying a season of sewing, sewing, sewing. I'm making bags, bags, bags and more bags. Good luck with all your gift sewing for the holidays. Stop by the store if you are in SA.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely special gift that is! I am looking forward to what your new computer has to offer. Every time mine has issues I hope they will solve themselves because getting used to a new one might be beyond my somple mind.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! What a wonderful way to honor one of our service men.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is really beautiful, I like the scrappy stars. I think most of us are behind without the computer excuse, it's that time of year.
ReplyDeleteLooks like your quilt was well received. Great job.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely just as far behind on my blog reading as you Cheryl! I'm actually just going to start here and go on - no way I could possibly catch up LOL!!! Love your QOV quilt and the pic of him wrapped up in it - way to go!!!!
ReplyDeleteCheryl, that was so cool that you got to present him with a QOV *you* made!! And it's beautiful -- I bet he will treasure it!! :)
ReplyDeleteNeighbor QoV is lovely, and he looks very happy with it. Good job!
ReplyDeleteHugs
How great is that! Giving a QOV to a neighbour. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThat QOV is just spectacular! You are a gal after my own heart! I am sure your neighbor will remember you giving it to him and use it for years to come!
