Hubby finished my new cook book shelf this afternoon.

The old shelf didn't really hold all of my cookbooks very well. They were jammed in, to get them off the floor.

The old shelf was built especially for me. It has my name and the year across the top curved piece. My mother in law has one just like it, but, her's has her name on it. Hubby's uncle Bill made them for us in 1996. We are auditioning places to put the shelf, since it is too precious to store in the basement.
Thanks hubby for my new bookcase!
This didn't work last time, but, maybe it will work this time. I want my comments back in my inbox!
ReplyDeleteDid you mark the box to notify you to follow ups? The book case looks so good! It fits the space much better and has enough space to hold them all. You will find a nook just meant for the other one I am sure.
ReplyDeleteOops, forgot to check the box. Trying again.
ReplyDeleteHope this gets into your inbox - I checked the box but it didn't work for me 🙁. The bookcase looks perfect! You can even get a couple more books in there. Nice to have a handy hubby. ~Jeanne
ReplyDeleteLove the new book case - and the old one. Check your spam folder - that is where it sends mine.
ReplyDeleteI adore your old shelf! It was built the year I got married! :) But having good space is important, too. I was just thinking today that I needed to re-arrange my cookbooks. Good reminder! :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice! You have a very handy hubby. The new book shelf is perfect for that space and no doubt it's much easier to find a certain cook book.
ReplyDeleteYour DH made a gorgeous piece of furniture, not just a book shelf:)
ReplyDeleteThat's a very nice book shelf!
ReplyDeleteGosh that is beautiful!! He has talent!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful bookshelf! Plenty of room for more cookbooks!
