Friday was a busy day at the TOGA (Treadle On Gathering & Academy). We had several demo's on Friday, along with some fun games.
We started with some 'Get to know you' games.
Jo Ann gave a tutorial on the connector blocks for next years raffle quilt (patriotic).
These are the blocks we've collected so far...
This is the raffle quilt for this year. It is a butterfly quilt.
Debbie taught us how to make a little coin purse with separate pockets for different coins.
Dorise taught us how to make a sun visor for your glasses.
Jackie showed us how to make pin cushions using salt cellars. She also provided the salt cellars and fabrics. She also showed us how to make decorative pins for our pin cushions (and provided everything for that, too).
Here is mine and Sarah's.
Liz did a double demo. She taught us how to make popsicle holders and also water bottle openers.
I went to the dollar store that night and bought more dish mats and wound up making 42 popsicle holders for gifts.
Here are more photos from Friday.
We also have a sewing machine 'hospital' at the TOGA. Floyd is the doctor, and Kenneth helped.
On to Day Three...
