October block lotto!

I know, I barely posted for ages, then, several posts in a row.  It's been either feast or famine lately.

Last night was my tiny quilt guilds monthly meeting (I'm in 2 guilds).  We had an October block lotto.  The squares had to be 12.5" unfinished, They had to have a neutral background, and they had to have a pumpkin somewhere in the block.  They could have anything else, fall related in the block.  Here are the blocks that were made.

Viki's block

Kay's block

Jennie's block

Marilyn's block

Thelma's block

Myriam's block

Gwen's block

my block
I love how everyone's blocks turned out so differently, but, they all are so cute together.  Viki won all the blocks.  She is a new quilter, and now she gets to put all these blocks into a quilt or projects.  Fun!

Shop hop on Thursday!  Maybe I'll post some pictures of some of the yummy things I find.  7 quilt stores in one day!  Woohoo!

Have a great week!

  3. Well Done Ladies....every block so cute and what a neat wall hanging it will make. Isn't it fun to have a drawing for all the blocks....especially if you win. Neat that a new quilter won...what an incentitive to keep on quiltin'.

Have fun on the Thursday Shop Hop. It's been awhile since I did one, so I'll look forward to seeing yours virtually! Thanks for stopping by CITexas Gal. So nice to hear from you....Sue

  5. I love the pumpkin blocks too. Aren't they fun? I know what you mean by "feast or famine" when it comes to posting. Sometimes life just gets too hectic to sit down and compose something to post. I hope you will have time to visit my blog to see the "award" I have given to you...have fun.
