Tuesday was the monthly Quilts of Valor sew-in. A few quilt tops were turned in on Tuesday.
Instead of sewing on Tuesday, we were cutting kits for the National Quilts of Valor sew-in on Saturday, Feb 2, 2019. We got quite a few kits cut out.
We also had the honor of presenting some Quilts of Valor to some deserving veterans.
The first veteran served in the Navy during WWII.
Later in the day two Vietnam veterans received their Quilts of Valor.
It is an honor to be a part of making quilts for these veterans.

WOW....all those quilts you're holding up look wonderful. That's a lot of stitching, very impressive.

I love seeing the quilts for the veterans and it certainly is an honor to be involved with QOV. The 96 yr old veteran looks amazing for his age. Thanks for more inspirations for quilt tops.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing your QOV. The guild has a huge box of red, white and blue fabric that needs to be used for something like that.
ReplyDeleteGreat quilts. Such a great way to give back to our military veterans.
ReplyDeleteLOve these....always a joy to see.
ReplyDeleteWonderful quilts and such a special cause. Thank you for all you do for Quilts of Valor.
ReplyDeleteBoth the quilts and the Vets look great, awesome job! Also glad you added the security measure to comments. It is really not an inconvenience to do a Captcha before posting a comment, and nobody wants to see garbage on your blog, least of all you, Cheryl!
