My sewing machine has been running HOT! After designing and cutting out the fabric for the 3 baby quilts, I have sewn all three tops together into flimsy's.
This is what the background fabric looks like up close. It's hard to see in the photos above.

I used up almost 4 bobbins, and I don't have much thread left on this spool. I seem to be using up several spools of thread lately.

If anyone is interested, I have all the cutting instructions for these quilts. They finish at 40" x 60".
I've been hand stitching, too. Here is the latest Vintage Miniature Sewing Machine embroidery. I finished this one on Monday.

I'm almost finished with block #8. These are going fast.
Wow you are getting a lot accomplished. Took me from 3pm - 10 pm to cut out 2 BOM and sew them together. Cute baby quilts.
ReplyDeleteThose turned out super cute! Using thread up is always a good thing. Sewing on a purple machine....just the best!
ReplyDeleteCute quilts! Empty spools are awesome. Yes, sewing on a purple sweetie like that has to make it all worth it.
ReplyDeleteYour little baby flimsies look lovely! Thanks for the measurements too. I'm just about to start another baby quilt myself and I'm always a bit confused about the size. I don't want to make it too big but of course it should't be too small either. Lovely embroidery as always! xx
ReplyDeleteWhew! I see a smoke'in machine! Love the background... the pattern (half of it) resembles a multi layer birthday cake!!! Just needs a candle. Babies will love them!
ReplyDeleteThose are great baby quilts.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on getting all those quilt tops done!! I've been trying to use up odd spools of thread and bobbins too....spring cleaning must be in the air LOL.
ReplyDeleteYou are on a roll!
ReplyDeleteLove that embroidery block!
You are moving! I love using up the near empty spools of thread and bobbins - it really helps clean things out. What fun sewing days on this beautiful machine! ~Jeanne
ReplyDeleteWonderful baby quilts. Quite an accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteYes, you certainly have been smokin' through the quilts! They look terrific.
ReplyDeleteSweet baby quilts!

So appropriate for you to be hand stitching those vintage blocks, they will make a very sweet quilt for you. OMG I think your baby quilts are fabulous, I also think they would make great blocks sized down!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great background fabric! So much more interesting than a solid.
ReplyDeleteBusy busy! I always feel good emptying spools--like I have gotten a lot done!
