Some people have told me that I should have posted pictures of my quilts, even though most of you have seen them already.
First is
Intertwined, the quilt I made for my son's wedding, last spring.

Unfortunately, since there were so many quilts this year, they couldn't hang the quilt where the back could be seen, too. There were some white glove ladies, who helped to show the back of the quilt.
This is my

Next is the
hiking mini quilt I made hubby for Christmas

I also entered the 2nd
Leg Lamp quilt I made. The first was made for my step-father, and the 2nd one has been claimed. Betty will get this in the next few weeks. Sorry, for some reason, I can't find a good photo of this quilt. For some reason, the photos I have on the blog are distorted. I guess I need to take another one.

I also put two 'projects' in the quilt show. First, one of the many
sewing machine mats that I've made in the past year or so.

and last, but not least, one of the
sewing caddies I've made.

Yes, all of these projects were made on my 1959 Singer Spartan hand crank sewing machine.
I told
Timeless Treasures about the
sewing chair that I recovered, using their faux selvage fabric. Well, they have now posted about my sewing chair on
Facebook,
Twitter and
Instagram. How cool is that!?!?!? I'm not even on any of those things (I just blog, boring, I know).

The fabric for the chair was quilted on this treadle.

I love your Intertwined quilt! The back is as pretty as the front to me. And I'm not active on Twitter or Instagram either. If I were, I wouldn't have time to sew. Your chair is spectacular!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing, your work is wonderful. Congratulations on being highlighted by Timeless Treasures - it is an awesome chair!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great hanging at the show...so do your other projects. I bet it was fun to talk to other people about the machines.
ReplyDeleteI must have missed it when you showed your your Interwined quilt before as I'm sure I would remember it!!! It's stunning as is its back. It seems the show is going well. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you getting some recognition.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be great if you edited this post to add a picture of the treadle you used.
I'm so glad you came back and showed your quilts, it's like seeing old friends :). Wow that's some pretty nice recognition, maybe they'll send fabric.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you added the photo of the treadle that did such great work!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing again! I do love Intertwined. So cool that your sewing chair is featured on social media. Congrats! ~Jeanne
ReplyDeleteThat chair is the coolest! :) And your son's wedding quilt is just as awesome on the back as the front. And the leg lamp! ha LOVE it. So much to love in this post. :)
ReplyDeleteNice to see the re-run and I'm glad you are getting some recognition for all your hard work.
ReplyDeleteHow cool that Timeless Treasures shared your chair on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Your quilts are gorgeous.
